Remodelling of the ground floor of a family home
Originally this house had small rooms facing onto the garden, with limited views and access. There was also a general need for better circulation and provision of cupboard space. We therefore proposed to open up three rooms together across the rear of the house. This immediately gave a feeling of space which befits the scale of the house. We introduced a roof light into the kitchen and changed the use of the rooms. The end result has provided views and access out to the garden which wasn't there before, greater space at the rear of the house and a more practical use of space.
